Varner Seaman serves as the Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs for Pattern Energy. Varner has an extensive background in energy policy in the Western United States. He has worked at Portland General Electric, with EDP Renewables, for American Clean Power focused on Offshore wind and as an advocate with Renewable Northwest. Varner began his career working for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) working as an organizer and a negotiator. Varner has also worked as a tax accountant and is an inactive CPA.
Varner has a BA in Philosophy from Earlham College and second degree in accounting from Portland State University.
